Russia and Ukraine Conflict

Recently, a conflict between Russia and Ukraine hit global news. The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, unleashed the biggest war in Europe since World War Two with the justification that "modern, Western-leaning Ukraine was a constant threat and Russia could not feel "safe, develop and exist.""


As a result, many people have lost their lives and the idea of normality. Although it seems like everything on the news have all been negative, there are some things that shed a pinch of positivity.

The artwork above was composed by Alevtina Kakhidze. Kakhidze, who is baded in Kyiv, drew herself and her home by the intersection of routes taken by the Russian tanks in their attempt to seize the Ukrainian capital.
